Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how PNative Apps ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the PNative Health mobile application (the "App"). PNative Health is a local-first tracker for food and calories, activity, weight, and blood pressure: the data you enter stays on your device.

Information we collect

PNative Health does not require an account and stores the information you enter on your device. This includes:

Food and calorie logs, custom foods, and daily goals
Body stats you enter (sex, age, height, weight, activity level, optional resting heart rate)
Workouts and (if you use one) live heart-rate session data
Weight entries and blood-pressure readings

With your explicit permission, the App reads the following from Health Connect on a read-only basis: steps, walking distance, weight, and blood pressure. You can grant or revoke this access at any time in Health Connect.

How we use information

Your information is used solely to provide the App's features on your device - logging, calculating net calories and maintenance estimates, charting trends, and showing your daily summaries. We do not use it for advertising.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your data, and your on-device logs are not transmitted to us. The App communicates with one third-party service to make the app work:

Open Food Facts - when you scan a barcode or search for a food, the barcode or search term is sent to the public Open Food Facts service to return product and nutrition information.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data is stored on your device, it is retained until you remove it. You can edit or delete individual entries in the App, or remove everything by uninstalling the App. A built-in export and import feature lets you back up or move your data. Children's privacy

PNative Health is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and is protected by your device's own security (such as your screen lock and OS-level app sandboxing). Network requests for food lookups use encrypted connections.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
